BrownDogBlog: Ride For The Cure

The Ride For The Cure Day which supports Breast Cancer was held out in Anza, Ca this past weekend at Ryan Hughes' RynoLand. Even though breast cancer is a very serious issue that shouldn't be taken lightly, this day was focused on raising awareness and of course to raise some money for the cause, and to have fun! As we rolled into RynoLand the first sign we saw was a bright pink and blue sign and it said "Save The Ta-Ta's! How serious could it be? Several vendors had set up camp to help out, but I pulled in right behind the UTOPIA OPTICS tent that was being manned by their Vice Presidnet of Marketing and the guy with the coolest name in the business, Aldo.

As I am unloading my bike, somebody yells at me to hurry so I don't miss the infamous Bra Ride! What could this be? Hot chicks riding around in bras? I grabbed my camera and ran! Very much to my disappointment, all I saw were dudes in bras, and couple of the guys actually could fill the bras without the aid of tissue, and that was something I really didn't need to see. They all lined up at the gate to do a 2 lap race with the winner not being the fastest guy out there, but the one with the most flamboyant style and grace. Ryno didn't have a lot of flamboyant style, I think he wanted to be as manly as possible with a pink bra on. He did manage to lay it flat a few times for the camera and if you go the gallery you check it out!

Aside from the goons rolling around the track in their pink bra's, there was also room for the newcomer to the sport. Kawasaki outfitted the day with a number of ready-to-ride KLX140's for new riders to cut their teeth on.

Overall it was a great day, for a great cause. For more information about breast cancer and how you can help, visit www.michellesplace.org.
